The military diploma of the year 139 AD.
Gaius Iulius Bassus was a Roman politician living in the 2nd century AD .
A military diploma dated November 22, 139, proves that Bassus 139 was suffect consul with Marcus Ceccius Iustinus ; the two held this office from November 1st to December 31st. Presumably Gaius Iulius Quadratus Bassus was his father.
