Galactology (Gala- Greek ancient Greek Γάλα , the milk ', -logos Greek λόγος , the doctrine') is the science of milk . As part of nutritional science, this deals with the composition, processing and quality of milk. Especially with the consistency, color and production of milk from all animal species.

Galactologists analyze the freshly squeezed milk from the udders of animals, e.g. B. cow , sheep , goat etc. This is chemically examined in laboratories in order to be optimized if necessary.
