The galley fountain ( Italian Fontana della Galera ) is located on Piazzale della Galera in the Vatican City outside the Vatican Gardens .

Located northeast on the edge of the border walls, the fountain offers a view of Rome. The Fontana della Galera was commissioned by Pope Paul V and built by Vasanzio and Martino Ferrabosco. The warship model was made from copper and lead in the years 1620–1621.
