Gallery Münsterland

The Münsterland Gallery is an exhibition hall for contemporary art in the machine and boiler house of the former Stroetmann textile factory in Emsdetten .

Exhibitions in which artists of different nationalities worked together, for example German and Zimbabwean artists in the “Genesis” project or South Korean and German artists in “ Kimchi and Sauerkraut ” , met with a particular response . The organizers of the exhibition are also keen to work closely with other cultural institutions in the region and to promote young artists. Various art education projects organized by the gallery have also become known, such as the children's project “Paths across the blue” as part of the urban development project “Regionale 2004”. The Kunststiftung NRW and the cultural department of the Foreign Office regularly support the work of the gallery. The art and cultural scientist Dr. Andrea Brockmann runs the gallery, and the Emsdettener Kunstverein also holds regular exhibitions in its rooms.
