The galledia group ag is a nationally active media group based in Berneck SG . The group includes one of the most modern sheetfed offset printing houses in Switzerland, a specialist publisher, a digital department and two regional newspapers.

history

The origins of Galledia go back to the founding of the Flawil book printing company in 1897 and the foundation of the Rheintaler in 1846. The Flawil printing house was renamed the Flawil AG printing house in 1992.

Galledia AG was founded in 2012 from a joint venture between Druckerei Flawil AG and Rheintaler Druckerei und Verlag AG, in which both companies each held half.

Two years later, the two Rheintaler companies rva Druck und Medien AG from Altstätten and the Rheintaler Druckerei und Verlag AG from Berneck merged and founded Rheintal Medien AG. In that year the printing company Flawil AG changed its name to dfmedia ag.

In 2015 df media ag then sold its shares in the joint venture and thus galledia ag became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rheintal Medien AG.

Three years later, the shareholders decided to change the name from Rheintal Medien AG to galledia group ag on January 1, 2019. This laid the foundation for the creation of a holding structure.

Sheet-fed offset printing

In Flawil SG there is a sheet-fed offset printing company with 26 printing units.

Digital department

In addition to classic print products, Galledia has a digital department that is responsible for web development, data visualization and digital marketing, among other things.

Regional newspapers

Galledia Regionalmedien AG publishes the two daily newspapers Der Rheintaler and Rheintalische Volkszeitung , which reach around 30,000 readers six days a week in the St. Galler Rheintal and Appenzeller Vorderland. Information is also provided online about current events in the Rhine Valley region.
