The Game Theory Society (GTS) is a society for the promotion of research, teaching and application of game theory . It was founded in 1999 and is registered in the Netherlands .

The GTS holds a world congress every four years, which so far has taken place in Bilbao (2000), in Marseille (2004), in Evanston (Illinois) (2008), Istanbul (2012) and in Maastricht (2016).
