Full closure

Entire closure is a term from music , more precisely from harmony theory , and describes a harmonic connection with the goal of the triad on the first level , the tonic .

According to the way to get into the tonic one differentiates:

• the authentic full closure (connection dominant > tonic)
• the plagal full closure (connection subdominant > tonic)

Further harmonious connections with the aim of forming a conclusion are the half- conclusion and the fallacy .
