Cloakroom ticket

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A cloakroom ticket is issued as proof of storage when objects are handed over to public cloakrooms , in particular for bags , suitcases , headgear , umbrellas , coats , jackets or other items of outer clothing.

Cloakroom with cloakroom tickets

As a rule, the cloakroom ticket is made of metal, plastic, cardboard or paper and is marked with a number. The number designates the cloakroom hook on which the deposited items are kept. If the cloakroom hook is not in use, the cloakroom token can be hung on the hook. Cloakroom tokens are usually so small that they can easily be kept in trouser pockets or handbags, but larger than coins , for example , so that they can be easily found.

The stored items of clothing can only be returned later on presentation of the cloakroom ticket. Legally, it is a bearer paper .
