The Handgrubber , even Small Grubber , garden hand or chicken claw called, is a device made of steel with 3-5 peaks and is a chicken claw simulated. The hand cultivator is usually equipped with a short handle made of wood, metal or plastic and usually has a total length of approx. 40 cm. There are also variants with a longer handle for weeding and pulling with both hands while standing or walking. Chickens scratch resistant with their claws on the floor, the imitating this garden tool serves to loosen the soil in small areas ( beds , graves etc.), to prepare the surface for a planting and for weed removal because they allow both flachwurzelnde plants tear out and can then move away from the bed. It is a cultivator for one-hand operation, it is often part of cemetery tools .
