Gary Hannam

Gary Hannam (* 1951 in Whangarei ) is a New Zealand film producer .

Life

Gary Hannam grew up on a farm. He studied business administration at Victoria University of Wellington . After teaching at his apprenticeship for three years, he switched to the film business and set up as a freelance producer in New Zealand. The work took him to Germany, in 2002 he moved to Küssnacht in Switzerland with his wife Joy. With his film Mit Herz und Hand (2005) with Anthony Hopkins in the leading role, Hannam gained international fame.

Today he is CEO of Olivado Natural Nutrition. The company produces avocado oil at two production facilities in New Zealand and Kenya. Fair trade and organic cultivation are taken into account. Olivado became an international brand due to its marketing. In Switzerland, the products are available from Coop Fine Foods.
