Gary Williams (skeleton pilot)

Gary Williams is a former Canadian skeleton rider .

Gary Williams was particularly successful in the first half of the 1990s. His greatest international success was winning the bronze medal twice at the North American Skeleton Championships in 1991 and 1993. In 1992 he won the title at the Canadian Championships . He was third in 1990 and second in 1991. In 1993 and 1994 he was second again behind the outstanding Canadian skeleton pilot Ryan Davenport and thus he was five times in a row in the top three. Williams achieved his best placement at a Skeleton World Championship in 1992 when he was ninth on his home track in Calgary . In World Cup races he never came in the top ten.
