This old restaurant is located on the central square at the confluence of Wegenstedter Strasse, Mannhäuser Strasse and Calvörder Strasse . The two-storey, plastered half-timbered building with brick infill was built around 1800. The front door is accessible via an outside staircase.
history
For Velsdorf, the restaurant has always been the “cultural center”. Above all, it defines the street and townscape for the place. Old postcards show that this restaurant was named Zum Weißen Roß in 1925 (owner 1917 Wilhelm Kusian, owner 1925 Hermann Gadau). After the reunification, the owner could no longer hold the restaurant, it was closed. Today it has the name Gaststätte Isernhagen and serves as a village community center . The local council of the former municipality of Velsdorf met here until December 31, 2009.
