Gate 7 ( Japanese GATE 7) is a manga series by the Japanese group of artists Clamp , the first chapter of which was published in Japan in 2010 . The work, which falls into the adventure and fantasy genres, is a sales success in Japan and is to be translated into at least four languages.

The high school student Hana, daughter of a temple caretaker, has the ability to consciously immerse herself in her own dream world. There she fights against monsters who want to control people's unconscious desires. With a spell she leads the high school student Takamoto Chikahito to Kyoto. This comes from Tokyo, but has wanted to live in Kyoto for a long time. Now that his mother is working abroad, he is transferred to Kyoto and meets Hana there. Immediately he is drawn into Hana's fight, in which she is supported by Sakura and Tachibana. The two men each represent the powers yin and yang and help Hana defeat the creatures of the other powers.

A first chapter of the manga appeared on November 4, 2010 in Jump SQ magazine as a single story. This was continued from February 2011 in the same magazine. The publisher Shueisha published the story in four anthologies so far, the first volume sold over 170,000 copies in Japan.

Egmont Manga and Anime began a German-language publication of the series in February 2012, four volumes have appeared so far. Dark Horse Comics acquired the rights for North America and Tong Li Publishing for Taiwan. In Planet Manga Manga in Italy appears.
