Gateway Bavaria
Gateway Bayern is the union catalog of the Bavarian Library Association and contains all media of the participating libraries. Gateway Bayern thus has over 17 million books, CDs, DVDs and electronic media from academic libraries in Bavaria. The Bavarian Library Association is the regional association of over 150 libraries of various sizes and subject orientations in Bavaria. The association includes the Bavarian State Library, the university and technical college libraries, the regional state libraries and a large number of other libraries in Bavaria. In addition to the libraries of the Bavarian Library Association, the libraries of the Berlin-Brandenburg Cooperative Library Association (KOBV) have also been uploading their media data to the Gateway Bavaria portal since December 2008 .
Interlibrary loan
Gateway Bayern also serves as the central portal for interlibrary loan in the Bavarian Library Network. A medium can be ordered directly from the hit display in Gateway Bayern via interlibrary loan to one of the participating Bavarian libraries, provided it is not available at a local library. Interlibrary loan can be started using the SFX button.
Article database of the Bavarian Library Association
In addition to data on books, CDs / DVDs and electronic media, users of the libraries involved in the Bavarian Library Association can also search the article database, which includes over 10,000 journals. There is also the table of contents service, which can be used to search the tables of contents of the journals evaluated.
