Gavin Andrew Mahon (born January 2, 1977 in Birmingham ) is an English football player who has been under contract with the English third division club Notts County since 2011 .

Player career

Mahon started his career as a youth with Wolverhampton Wanderers , but it wasn't enough for a professional contract. So in 1996 he moved to Hereford United for free , where he stayed for two and a half seasons. During that time he played 83 games and scored 4 goals. With this performance he impressed the manager of Brentford FC , from whom he was signed. After four years and 150 missions, he finally moved to Watford FC , where he had a contract until the end of the 2008/09 season.

After it was signaled that the contract should not be extended, Mahon switched to the Queens Park Rangers at the end of 2007 and signed a new contract there in July 2008.

On August 25, 2011, he moved to the third division Notts County .
