Geany is a text editor with functions of an integrated development environment (IDE), which is based on Scintilla and the GTK + toolkit and can be operated under Linux , macOS and Windows .
The developers try to incorporate functions that are as useful as possible, but still keep the program small and fast. Geany has few dependencies on other programs and libraries .
