Thought magic

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The mind spell is a magical practice. The thought magic is based on the assumption that thoughts have an influence on objects and people in the outside world.

For this purpose, the person casting the caster resolves, for example, to think firmly of a person, an object or a wish in order to bring about the desired effect.

In most cases, the thought spell is the same as the word spell , since words were thought. For many archaic cultures they differ from the spoken words only in the degree of their audibility, but thought magic also includes thought images or thought situations.

In contrast to word magic, thought magic is less tangible, but it shows up in the superstitious practices of some archaic peoples. For example, some Siberian tribes avoid having bad thoughts against others in order not to accidentally harm the person concerned.
