Geert Verheyen
Geert Verheyen (born March 10, 1973 in Diest ) is a former Belgian cyclist .
Career
Geert Verheyen started his career in 1994 with Vlaanderen in 2002 , where he drove for four years. Then he switched to the lottery . There he was able to win the Grand Prix de la Ville de Lillers straight away . The following year he won another stage on the Route du Sud . In 2001 he switched to Rabobank and won the German one-day race Luk Cup in Bühl .
In 2003 he drove for Marlux-Wincor-Nixdorf , where he wrote another stage of the Circuit Franco-Belge on his account. After a year at Landbouwkrediet-Colnago , he switched to Belgian ProTeam Quick Step in 2006 . In the 2008 season he drove for Mitsubishi-Jartazi , after which he returned to Landbouwkrediet.
At the end of the 2011 season he ended his career as a professional cyclist.
