Geestrute
The Geestrute was a German measure of length . Geestrute was used in poor, sandy soils. The marsh rod was suitable for the “fat” and wet soils .
The basis of the measure was the 12 inch hamburger foot .
- 1 foot = 127 Parisian lines = 286.49 millimeters
- 1 geestrute = 16 feet = 4.5838 meters
