Frozen meat cutter

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A frozen meat cutter is a butcher's machine that is used in the food industry.

Frozen meat cutters cut blocks of frozen meat into strips, which are then processed further. Great forces act in the machine, which also lead to a high level of noise.

Smaller machines are loaded by hand, larger ones have automatic loading via standard trolleys or belts.

The process of cutting frozen meat is part of a production chain and generally does not lead to an end product itself. Since heat can be generated in many subsequent production steps, for example during grinding, the frozen product also helps to maintain cooling in the further production process.
