Privy Councilor Breuhahn is a variety of the apple ( Malus domestica ) that came to Geisenheim in 1895 as a chance seedling from the variety 'Halberstädter Jungfernapfel' . It has been available in stores since 1934.
description
The medium-sized tree forms upright leading branches that later incline. The initially pyramidal crown later becomes wider. He is prone to speck and a light peel tan . He is less susceptible to apple scab .
The flowering period is short to medium. The flowers are formed on one and two year old long shoots and terminally on short shoots.
The normal medium-sized fruit is 60 mm wide and 53 mm high and weighs 90 grams. The smooth, moderately fatty and later sticky, crumbly skin is yellow-green to reddish-yellow in color and has a cloudy orange-red marbling. The yellowish white pulp is fine-celled, juicy, mildly sour-sweet and aromatic. It is ready for picking from the end of September to the beginning of October, and it is ready for consumption from October to April. The apple can be stored well, but is also suitable for fresh consumption.
