The Gehry Tower (English tower - tower) is a nine-story building designed by the architect Frank Gehry in Hanover in Germany . The building is located in the immediate vicinity of Steintorplatz and is reminiscent of an earlier city gate that was named Steintor.

The construction of the Gehry Tower was commissioned by Objektgesellschaft mbH, a subsidiary of Üstra Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe AG , for which Gehry had previously designed a bus stop in Hanover.

The executive architect was Archimedes Bauplanungsgesellschaft mbH from Bad Oeynhausen . The building contractor was Philipp Holzmann  AG Hanover. Gehry himself was represented by the architect Eve Sobesky, who oversaw several projects in Europe.

Four years passed between the planning and the demolition of the pre-development in autumn 1999. Six months later, in March 2000, construction began. The costs were DM 8.5 million (approx. EUR 4.3 million). The building was officially inaugurated on June 28, 2001. The total usable area is approx. 2100 m².

What is interesting about the Gehry Tower is its outer shape, a steel construction with load-bearing outer walls, which is achieved by rotating the structure around the vertical central axis, whereby the eaves protrude by up to 2.50 m compared to the ground floor; this causes a three-dimensional curvature of the outer surface. The outer shell consists of 2,800 polished stainless steel panels with the dimensions 0.60 × 1.20 meters, which give the building a "roughened" impression. This results in an optically reflective surface that reflects the surrounding light conditions.

The Gehry Tower is used as an office and event building. The tenants include X-City Marketing Hannover GmbH, Public Broadcast Rundfunkgesellschaft mbH (Das Fahrgastfernsehen) and Protec Service GmbH, which are also subsidiaries of Üstra.
