The Geipelburg was a building complex that existed in Meißen on Siebeneichener Straße until 1937 . In 2008 there is still a small outbuilding.

The Geipelburg had a marble hall, the size of which was comparable to the one in the area in the Hamburger Hof in Meißen and the stock exchange in Coswig . When in 1937 a landslide fell on the houses on the left bank of the Elbe in front of the Elbe Bridge (including the Meißner fishermen's houses still preserved today ), the hall was so badly affected that it had to be demolished. The demolished buildings were not rebuilt. Nevertheless, the existing outbuilding is still popularly called Geipelburg.

In the Geipelburg Meißen, among others, the athlete Ewald Redam performed , the model for the Dresden Golden Town Hall man .
