Meissen fishermen's houses

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Meißner Fischerhäuser are an ensemble of small houses in the Saxon town of Meißen . The houses that are considered to be cultural monuments are located on the left bank of the Elbe in front of the old Elbe bridge, directly behind the Geipelburg . You can see folk architecture from the " fisherman " profession, which no longer existed in the 1960s . In the years before 2008, the residential buildings were renovated and could be viewed on the Open Monument Day . The next viewing will be possible in 2011.
