Mind & Brain , also Mind and Brain or a Matter of Nerves : Geist & Brain was a weekly television program by Manfred Spitzer , which was broadcast on BR-αlpha . The program dealt with the latest findings from brain research . In addition to medical backgrounds, psychological aspects were also dealt with. Of a total of twelve seasons with 194 episodes of fifteen minutes each, eleven seasons have so far appeared on nine DVDs .

The neuroscientist Spitzer, director of the psychiatric university clinic in Ulm , gave an insight into the depths of our thinking apparatus in his programs. He explained how our brain works, how it learns, how perception and thinking are related, or how human emotions work.
