Genetics & Applications (G & A) is the official journal of the Institute for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (www.ingeb.unsa.ba) of the University of Sarajevo. It is an international, open access, journal published twice a year in print and electronic (online) formats, publishing peer-reviewed articles on new and significant advances in basic and applied genetics. Special editions and supplements can also be published after consulting the editorial team.

The topics that are published in this journal are:

Authors are encouraged to submit complete, unpublished, and original works that are not peer-reviewed in other journals. Any work that includes basic knowledge in any area of ​​genetics is acceptable.

This journal is indexed in the following databases: EBSCO , DOAJ , CAB Abstracts , Google Scholar , Global Health database , Crossref , Index Copernicus .

G&A uses the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) systems to provide a secure and permanent archive of the magazine.


G&A publishes five types of articles: review articles, original scientific articles, text messages, notes, and letters.
