Geno Washington
Geno Washington (born December 1943 in Evansville , Indiana ; actually William Francis Washington ) is an American R&B musician who celebrated his greatest successes in Great Britain .
Between 1966 and 1969, The Ram Jam Band released five albums with Geno as a member. Since the beginning of 1976 he has released eight solo albums. He was also the one who advised Ian Brown to become a singer at a birthday party in Manchester, England. He then founded the legendary British guitar band The Stone Roses .
The band Dexys Midnight Runners dedicated a song to Geno Washington that bears his first name.
