Genus idiomaticum
Genus idiomaticum is a term that the old Protestant dogmatics used in Christology . To answer the question: How can Jesus Christ be God and man at the same time? it took up the ancient church doctrine of communicatio idiomatum : Jesus Christ as man possesses the properties of his divine nature and as God the properties of his human nature.
