Geobios

The geobios ( gr. Ge "earth", bios "life") is the totality of the ( terrestrial ) animal and plant communities of the solid land and thus part of the biosphere . The term introduced by Haeckel is in contrast to z. B. to Hydrobios , the living world of water.
