Geological service for Bremen

The Geological Service for Bremen (GDfB) researches and documents the subsurface of the state of Bremen. The service is based at the Marum .

history

Initially, the service was the Bremen branch of the Lower Saxony Office for Soil Research , until the end of 2007 as part of the State Office for Mining, Energy and Geology in Hanover . Since 2008, the service has been an independent institution of the Senator for Economy, Labor and Ports .

The service advises the offices of the Bremen Senate as well as companies and private individuals on all geoscientific problems. Drilling and investigations are also carried out on site. There are currently six employees working for the service.
