Georg Marchl
Georg Marchl (born January 22, 1964 in Wals-Siezenheim ) is an Austrian wrestler of the AC Wals club and brother of the wrestler Anton Marchl . In his career he has won 19 Austrian national championship titles.
His main successes were
- 9th place Olympic Games Los Angeles 1984 Greco-Roman
- 2nd place Junior European Championship in the GDR 1981 Greco-Roman
- 1st place youth world championship in the USA 1982 Greco-Roman
- 3rd place youth world championship in the USA 1981 Greco-Roman and freestyle
He and his wife Birgit run a carpentry and interior design business in the municipality of Wals-Siezenheim.
