Life

Nothing is known about Georg Putz's origins. When, in the course of the Counter-Reformation in Bohemia, the rule of Neudek came to the Counts of Czernin von Chuderitz in 1633 , Putz was appointed the first Czernin captain there at the beginning of 1634. During his tenure, on September 19, 1634 , Rittmeister Friedrich Kropp, who was in Swedish service , invaded Neudek with his company and plundered the city. 200 people were arrested and driven away, possibly including plaster. In the nobility diploma of his grandson, the Bergmeister von Platten Christoph Adalbert Putz from 1719, one can read about him: ... as a former captain on the Neüdeck rule in which Swedish troubled the enemy, but were then captured, suffered and suffered a lot failed ... He died in 1635 at the age of 49 after only one year in office. Georg Zettel followed him. His eldest son was the customs collector of Platten Johann Putz .
