Georg Rasch

Georg William Rasch (born September 21, 1901 , † October 19, 1980 ) was a Danish statistician . From 1962 to 1972, Rasch was Professor of Statistics at the University of Copenhagen .

In 1960 he proposed the Rasch model , which found widespread use in probabilistic test theory and, for example, is the basis for PISA studies .
