George is a Swiss dialect - rock band from the Bernese Seeland .

history

After singer George Schwab had played with the Stolen Tunes for five years , he founded his own band George & Hardcore Troubadours in 1999 . After three years the final line-up for the band and a record label had been found and the debut album Eifachs Spiel by the musicians, who from then on only called themselves George , was released.

After changing management and record company, the band had their first major successes with their second album Adrenalin in 2006 and entered the Swiss album charts for the first time. In the following years, George was able to increase their popularity and the fourth album Buuregiel, which was produced by Roman Camenzind , reached the top 10 of the hit parade. After completing the Buuregiel tour in November 2011, George Schwab separated from the previous band after 10 years and 350 concerts and has been giving concerts with a new band again since spring 2012.
