Roman Camenzind

Roman Camenzind (born January 11, 1976 ) is a Swiss musician and music producer from Zurich .

biography

Camenzind's musical beginnings lie in the band Subzonic , which he founded in 1992 with a schoolmate. He was a singer and songwriter and later also took over the production of the band's albums. In 1997 he founded the production company HitMill and produced other artists even before the separation from Subzonic, among other things he has been responsible for Baschi's publications since the casting show appearance in 2004. He was the producer and co-author of his hit Bring en hei , one of the most successful songs in Swiss dialect. For the second season of the casting show in 2005 he wrote or produced three more number one hits, one of them Gumpu , the winning song by Salome Clausen .

At the same time, he was A&R Manager at Universal Music in Switzerland from 2004 to 2007 and then headed the Phonag Records label until 2008 .

Camenzind says of himself that «commerce» is his style of music. many of the performers he works with are successful in the commercial and official Swiss charts, including Adrian Stern , Fabienne Louves , the bands George , Lovebugs and Pegasus . For the latter, he produced Skyline 2012, his fifth top runner in the single charts. To this end, he expanded the HitMill team to include Fred Hermann and Georg Schlunegger, with whom he worked for Gimma and Florian Ast , for example .

In addition to making music for pop artists, Camenzind and HitMill also worked for television and television advertising. With Slow Down, Take It Easy for a traffic safety campaign and I Love for Coop organic products, he brought music from commercials to the charts.

Roman Camenzind has been married since 2010 and has three children.
