Da Sign & the Opposite are a four-piece Swiss electro rock band from Bern .

Band history

The two musicians with the stage name Wubert de Aiir and Djeree Djëf le touriste met in 1995 and recorded a demo album. Only later did the band, including the twins Twin-Pee and Twin-Tee, become serious and in 2004 they had their first appearance at an event in Berlin.

Da Sign & the Opposite became known for their entry into the finals of the Mobile Acts 2006 competition for young talent , which was broadcast on Swiss television . Although they lost the final against Container6 , they were able to build a career afterwards. In 2007 they played in the opening act for the Bloodhound Gang and went on tour with their own AreYouVeda show together with The Clowns . Further annual tours through Switzerland and even performances in Mexico followed.

Da Sign & the Opposite had their first chart success in 2009. They recorded the song with the title Slow Down, Take It Easy , the motto of the campaign, for a prevention campaign for adapted speed in road traffic with two TV spots . The media presence helped the single to reach number 5 on the Swiss charts in December 2009 .
