TinkaBelle is a Swiss Pop - band from the region Zurich was established that in early 2009.
history
TinkaBelle was signed to Warner Music Central Europe in 2010 . Singer Tanja was soon asked to sing the song You Get Me from the album Commitment as a duet with Seal . The song was released in Germany , Austria and Switzerland and is included on the first album by TinkaBelle Highway . The album was recorded in autumn 2010 and produced by Fred Herrmann. It was released on January 21, 2011 and entered the Swiss album charts at number 2. It contains songs in pop / folk style with country influences. Guest musicians such as Hank Shizzoe , Handsome Hank and Pee Wirz from Dada Ante Portas contributed to the album . The first single from the album The Man I Need reached number 20 on the Swiss singles chart and the top 5 on the airplay charts. Debut single and debut album achieve gold status in Switzerland.
Highway Gold Edition was released on June 24, 2010 - it includes two duets with the Italian pop star Luca Napolitano ( Fino a Tre , Highway ). This was followed by TV appearances at Benissimo , Swiss Music Awards , SF bi de Lüt , Check In and the Aids Charity Gala . In the summer of 2011, TinkaBelle performed at various festivals, followed by a club tour in the fall. In the summer of 2011, TinkaBelle contributed Strawberries and Cream, the song to the Frisco Extrême ice cream campaign . In autumn Tanja became a testimonial / ambassador for the car manufacturer Ford in Switzerland. Also in 2011 the band was nominated at the MTV Europe Music Awards in the Best Swiss Act category. In 2012, singer Tanja became the face of Läkerol . In 2012 TinkaBelle were nominated for a Swiss Music Award (Best Breaking Act National) and a Prix Walo (Newcomer) . This was followed by appearances in the opening act for Status Quo , at Art on Ice and at the FIFA / Ballon d'Or Gala .
At the beginning of 2012 Tanja and Res retired from writing songs. At the end of May the band flew to Galway, where some of the songs for the new album were recorded at The Forge Studio . The renowned Irish folk musicians Gerard Fahy and Yvonne Fahy played traditional Irish instruments. On September 21, 2012, the first single from the second album, Stay On, was released. The second album On My Way has been available since December 14, 2012. At the end of 2013, the songwriting team Tanja and Res announced that they were leaving the band.
In 2020 the new single One Last Time will be released with guest singer Andrea Benz . The song was composed by Gölä guitarist Ueli Bleuler and recorded by Thomas Fessler . In April 2020 the album Greatest Hits ... and some more! released.
