Handsome Hank is a country and bluegrass singer from Switzerland .

Behind the music project is the musician Sämi Schneider, who was also responsible for Schmalhans , Shilf and Congaking .

A story was spun around the emergence of the former cast Handsome Hank and his Lonesome Boys, which was also adopted by the media. According to this, Handsome Hank was born in Tennessee in 1920 , began making music at an early age, served in prison and was drafted into the US Air Force . The war experience and injuries then led him to Christianity. It wasn't until the early 1990s that he finally made a comeback in Europe.

Handsome Hank and his Lonesome Boys have released three albums by 2007 on which they interpret popular rock and pop songs in country and bluegrass styles, including Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden and She's The One by Robbie Williams . Most recently, a contribution to Stephan Remmler's album 1, 2, 3, 4… was made , on which the band interprets the Remmler composition Let's Go To Elvis .

In spring 2012 Handsome Hank returned without his Lonesome Boys with the album Handsome Hank sings about Devils and Angels (Baldo / Irascible). Instead, some duo partners are represented on the album.
