QL (pronounced: kuul ) is a Swiss fun punk band from Biel / Bienne . She became known for punky new settings of old mouth art and Swiss German children's songs.

history

Her first album Heimatschutz from 2004 sold over 40,000 times, the second album Luscht reached number three in the album hit parade. The unofficial World Cup song QLs Hopp Schwiiz stayed in the Swiss singles chart for nine weeks with a high of 28th place. Her video for the mash cover Ewigi Liäbi was one of the most played clips on VIVA Switzerland . Her third album Schwi! Zerchracher with nine original compositions also made it to number 3 in the Swiss album charts. The album also features a coproduction with the Bündner rapper Gimma . On January 1, 2010, QL released an album with the Pepe Lienhard Horns. The album Humba Tatärä reached number 5 in the Swiss album charts. The "Big Punk" band with QL & Pepe Lienhard with a total of nine wind players (three trumpeters, three trombonists and three saxophonists - with Pepe Lienhard himself playing the baritone saxophone) toured Switzerland in 2010. On November 11th, 2011 QL released their fifth studio album Mach Lut! which entered the Swiss charts at number 7. The first three albums Heimatschutz , Luscht and Schwi! Zercherchracher have now achieved gold status .

The QL repertoire also includes songs by Polo Hofer , Mani Matter , Span , Trio Eugster , Peach Weber , Florian Ast , Salvo and Patent Ochsner .
