Salome Clausen (* 20th February 1986 ) is the winner of the second season of the talent show Music Star of the Swiss television .
She comes from the Valais village of Glis . She has been learning to play the saxophone since around 1998, and has been doing classical vocal training since around 1999. At the end of 2004 she took part in the Swiss talent show MusicStar, which she won in the final on February 26, 2005 in the telephone vote.
Salome's only single “Gumpu” (written German “to jump”) was released on April 30, 2005 and immediately entered the Swiss charts at number 1 . Her first album "Moji" was released in May 2005 and reached second place in the album charts.
In mid-January 2006 she announced her retirement from the music business. She stated that her private life was neglected. In addition, she is not a thoroughbred musician and never expected that she would win at MusicStar.
