Carmen Fenk emerged in 2004 as the first winner of the Swiss talent show MusicStar . She won over the jury and audience with her powerful, rough voice (in the spirit of jury member Chris von Rohr , who had asked the participants to “ Meh Dräck! ”) And her powerful performance (“ Fenk-Motor ”). With her album Fenkadelic she climbed straight to the top of the Swiss charts , and her only single In Love With You Again was also a number one hit .

After her solo album, she toured with the Shelomith gospel choir in 2005 and 2006 .

In contrast to the second MusicStar winner Salome Clausen , she wants to remain a music professional. Regarding her victory at the time, she said in 2007 that it was her “blessing and curse at the same time”, had “opened as many doors as they were locked”, and had been “ridiculed for a long time” because of him. Hero is the name of her last (2008) song that she composed with her guitarist Beat Eckert. Hero was recorded by Steve Bhend in the little Paradise Studio in Rickenbach . Matthias Heimlicher did the mixing and mastering.

On April 1st, 2015 Carmen Fenk released her second album "eleven". According to the artist, the album title refers to the quote "Eleven Years - Eleven Songs - Eleven Stories. And alludes to the eleven years that have passed since the first release after the talent show" MusicStar ". Musically, the album moves between pop, Singer / songwriter and soul: nine original and two cover songs are on the album.
