Sevelen is a municipality in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley cultural landscape in the Werdenberg electoral district in the canton of St. Gallen , Switzerland .

geography
Sevelen is located in the Rhine Valley west of Vaduz on the border with Liechtenstein . In addition to the village of Sevelen, the political municipality of Sevelen includes the hamlets of Rans, Oberräfis, St. Ulrich and the Sevelerberg.
The community lies on the eastern slope of the Alvierkette . It reaches the highest point at 2383 m above sea level. M. high Fulfirst , the border point to Walenstadt . In the valley, the municipality extends to the Rhine . The lowest point in the municipality ( 451 m ) is also located on the Rhine in the Fösera .
In the north Sevelen borders on Buchs and Grabs , in the west on Walenstadt , in the south on Wartau and in the east on the Liechtenstein villages of Vaduz and Triesen .
