George Pennington, (born December 22, 1947 in Washington, DC ) is a psychological researcher and teacher, author, and television psychologist. He works as a coach and consultant in Augsburg .

Life

George Pennington grew up in the USA, France and Austria (trilingual). After graduating from high school, he studied sociology and psychology at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität in Heidelberg from 1968 to 1972 . After a year in Morocco, where he worked for the carpet trade, he worked as a photographer in London . There he expanded his university education (psychotherapy, physical therapy, agriculture).

In 1977 he came to Germany, where he joined the therapeutic team at the Coloman Center (Obb.) Until 1984. In 1978 he discovered a meditation technique that French travelers had secretly handed down, and through it he found his own approach to meditation. After 16 years of intense meditation, he wrote the manual for it ( The tables of Chartres ).

Since 1984 he has focused on working in business. He teaches soft skills in lectures as well as conflict, stress management, resilience and communication training, team development and leadership training, especially in-house.

He and his wife ran the seminar and guest house in Lenzwald for 20 years.

In 2005 he produced the 13-part TV series " Consciously Living - Psychology for Everyday Life " in collaboration with BR-alpha .
