George Thomas Smith-Clarke

George Thomas Smith-Clarke (born December 23, 1884 in Bewdley , Worcestershire , † February 28, 1960 in Coventry ) was a British engineer who mainly dealt with the construction of motor vehicles and medical instruments. He was the owner of numerous patents.

In 1923 Smith-Clarke moved from Daimler to Alvis , where he took the position of chief engineer. He stayed with this company until 1950 and was largely responsible for the company's business success.
