The company Georges Ruedin SA , today Manufacture Ruedin SA, is a company of the Swatch Group .

history

The company founded by Albert Jacquat and Georges Ruedin has been manufacturing watch cases since 1926 . Under the direction of his nephew François Charles and his widow, George Ruedin SA developed into an important watch case manufacturer in the Delsberg basin . Together with Rado , the company developed the watch case made of scratch-resistant tungsten carbide (Rado Diastar System), which secured the company's future.

Due to problems regarding the succession, the family company Georges Ruedin SA was sold to its main customer, Bieler Drahtwerke , in 1971 . In 1977 ASUAG took part and in 1989 the company went entirely to the then SMH and today's Swatch Group and was integrated into the group. The company is still based in Bassecourt , where it is the last watch manufacturer.

Products

The approximately 280 employees manufacture frames, glasses and bases for the renowned Swiss watch brands from the middle and upper segment such as Omega , Rado , Longines , Tissot etc. In order to meet the criteria of the Swiss watch industry, only high-quality raw materials such as stainless steel , titanium or hard metal are used.
