The geotope caster North Rhine-Westphalia is managed by the geological service of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia . The cadastre includes around 4000 geotopes .
The previous cadastre of objects worthy of geological protection (GeoSchOb) was managed by the State Institute for Ecology, Land Regulations and Forests NRW (LÖBF) and the State Institute for Ecology, Land Regulations and Forests / State Office for Agricultural Regulations (LAfAO).
