Gerald Skinner took part in the 1908 Olympic Games in London in the team competition in the trap . Together with George Whitaker , John Butt , William Morris , Harold Creasey and Richard Hutton , he won the bronze medal behind the British first team and the Canadians. Skinner was the team's second best shooter with 63 points.
