George Whitaker (born August 25, 1864 in London , † August 23, 1937 in Brighton and Hove ) was a British marksman .

George Whitaker participated in three Olympic Games in the trap part. At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , he finished eleventh in the individual, while he won the bronze medal behind the first British team and the Canadians in the team competition together with Gerald Skinner , John Butt , William Morris , Harold Creasey and Richard Hutton . Whitacker was the team's best shooter with 70 points. In 1912 he did not get beyond 33rd place in the individual in Stockholm , but secured another medal with the team. The British kept the German team one point at a distance with 511 points and secured the silver medal behind the US team (532 points). Whitaker was this time the fourth-best shooter with 84 points, which also included Alexander Maunder , William Grosvenor , Harold Humby , Charles Palmer and John Butt. In 1920 in Antwerp he missed another medal win with the team in fourth. He finished the individual in twelfth place.
