Gerald Spitzner

Gerald Spitzner (born April 11, 1972 in Vienna ) is an Austrian composer .

He was born as the son of the Viennese composer (ÖGZM), teacher and music therapist Prof. Renate Spitzner . His compositions try to build bridges between artistic traditions and themes. A number of musical and social projects with SOS children in the children's village (sacred choral and chamber music works) take special account of the integration of mentally ill and ill people. His works have been performed in Vienna and Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Poland, Switzerland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Canada, California, Slovenia and Asia.

Gerald Spitzner is the great-nephew of the theologian Heinrich Maier .
