The Gerard Bluffs are striking, un-iced cliffs in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Transantarctic Mountains they mark the southern end of the Miller Range .
The New Zealand Southern Group of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) mapped them in December 1957 and named them after the New Zealand geophysicist Vernon Bruce Gerard (* 1924), who worked at Scott Base in 1957 as part of the International Geophysical Year .
